Summertime Sissies, now is your season! If you love flirty floral dresses, LBDs, open toe sandals, gorgeous shades of polish, flip flops, and/or wearing lingerie as part of your daytime look, then you are going to love my roundup of best summer styles! We will talk about ways you can jump on the latest trends for summer and wear some of them right into Fall.
The (Girlie) Girls and Their Summer Dresses
I had to borrow from the famous Irwin Shaw short story (about a man who wants to wear his wife’s summer dresses–just kidding), if only because I was so happy to see that this summer the Little Black Dress (LBD) makes a potent return to fashion. Who doesn’t look better in a Little Black Dress? Sissies if you are thinking of adding anything to your wardrobe, I would recommend an LBD because it’s so versatile and can be styled year round. However, if you have your heart set on a bright floral, then by all means indulge! This is THE season to get your florals on, so Summertime Sissies, make sure that you do!

Kiss and Tell
For Lips I have 3 recommendations. First, a pretty shimmer nude for every day. Merit makes some beautiful hydrating choices.
Next I would recommend the bright red that Taylor Swift has made the color of the year. There are so many to pick from but Ilia is probably my favorite. And of course, you can never go wrong with a deep red for your Red Carpet Moments – (I’m partial to Nars Audacious Lipstick in Audrey).
Sissy Shopping List:
Recommended Polish: Milky White or Pale Pink
Bikinis: Flower Power!
Need I say more? Find yourself a cute one. This one’s from Target and the tie front + ruffle is soooo sweet!
Flipflops: Yes please!
Anything fun will do in this department. Sequins and sparkle are back (in moderation). What better place to put them than on your feet? Love this cute pair from Amazon. Also if you’re taking your trash out in your bikini and need to make a quick dash back to your apartment before you’re clocked by the cute girl across the hall – you know who you are 😉 – flipflops are easier to run in than stilettos. Like I said, this is your season, Summertime Sissies!
Just make sure to have a pretty pedicure before you sport these in public. Milky white is great for your fingers, but toes can go wild and bright for all those summer bikini days!

Dating myself here…(I get to third base when Mistress allows!🖐) but it was a couple inches, er, “years” ago!
But your post is sooo nostalgic for me as it makes me think back to three of the cutest frocks I ever purchased. The department store flyer advertised an assortment of seasonal dresses at amazing prices. Yes, I did, in fact summon the courage to call ahead, and the manager gathered a handful of feminine finery and led me to a changing room.
I selected two of these marvellous chiffon confections (floral print…cowled? neck absolutely gorgeous)
So delicate, like the shopping bag felt as if it was floating as I left the store!
My LBD? Hold on to your trousseau…I bought it at a bridal salon! True. Again I phoned and explained. You just have to try and you’ll see it can work.
The manager allowed me access to the store. I was able to try on several wedding gowns (sigh!)
My fantasy wedding gown could not fit into my reality life..(but it fit in the store!)
Hidden amongst all this fairytale flounce, I espied something I gave a good home. A clinging satin LBD that even before she zipped me up, the manager knew it was a sale.
Alas, all I have now is the memories, but thankfully remain vivid after so long.

Found a similar bottom s 3-5 at Walmart clearance $5.00 and almost Daisy Dukes black shorts size 10 have to squeeze into them 12 would have been perfect. But they didn’t have any 😭
