The (Girlie) Girls and Their Summer Dresses
I had to borrow from the famous Irwin Shaw short story (about a man who wants to wear his wife’s summer dresses–just kidding), if only because I was so happy to see that this summer the Little Black Dress is back—and more seductive than ever. Sleek, effortless, and impossible to ignore, the LBD has a way of making everyone look instantly hotter.
For Summer 2026, the little black dress loosens up with fluid fabrics, barely-there straps and easy, undone details.
Sissies if you are thinking of adding anything to your wardrobe, I would recommend an LBD because it’s so versatile and can be styled year round. However, if you have your heart set on florals, then by all means indulge!
Florals are everywhere this summer, but they’re feeling a lot less sweet and way more seductive. Think bold blooms, sheer fabrics, flirty minis, and long dresses that move beautifully when you walk. The best part is that many of these dresses can follow you straight into fall—just add a leather jacket, boots, or a cozy cardigan, and these darker florals and richer colors suddenly feel perfect for cooler days.

For Lips I have 3 recommendations.
- Warm tomato red — a bright red with a hint of orange, worn glossy, satin, or softly blurred. It appeared prominently on the Fendi and Lacoste spring/summer runways this season.
- Bold rose pink — vivid rose, watermelon pink, and soft fuchsia paired with otherwise minimal makeup.
- Coral-peach — juicy coral and peachy-orange, especially as a sheer stain or watercolor wash rather than dense lipstick.
